This is my new favourite book! The novell not only manages to perfectly describe each of the resies, it also manages to be a movie playing in front of my inner eye. When I listen Kit experiencing a different species, I do not only hear her describing, but I also become that species. It might sound weird, but that's my experience.
Besides those sensory journeys, the story also perfectly portraits a girl, struggeling to find her own identity, something especially teenagers might be able to relate to. Not in the literal way of acting like a fox irl, but rather as the feeling of not really being human, belonging to this way of viewing the world.
The reader is honestly just as perfect as the book is. Katy Sobey always manages to amaze me with her voice and way of talking. I really recommend listening to this book!!!
