The previous parts of the series were nice as light entertainment, but this one annoyed the hell out of me. If you liked Aurora as the somewhat quirky and relatable librarian - well, you won’t find her here. Most of the book consists of Aurora describing every minute detail of her (boring) everyday life (including what everyone is wearing and how she decorates her new house - all in all a hell fest of what even at the time of the original publication must have been considered dull or even bad taste) - and this is interrupted at basically two points by drastic and outright ridiculous plot developments.
SPOILERS:
So Aurora turns into a little wifey and is attacked by an axe-swinging murderer, but is only worried about her oh-so perfect husband (who actually is a criminal himself) and never once asks who the attacker is or why her husband thought it necessary to get bodyguards for her in the first place?! And the police has never bothered to actually search the whole house for the family who has mysteriously disappeared?! And why hasn’t the editor stepped in to do her/his job by telling the author that this was so full of nonsense it should never be published?!

Utter nonsense
