I can only recommend this novel / audiobook to everybody interested in a skillful narrative full of romance, drama and action!

One of the best P&P variations I know!

The language of the book was nice and I liked the twist on Lydia. But this is pretty much the best what can be said about this book.

Darcy is an ill-tempered man who swoons over the optics of Elisabeth but you never feel he acknowledges her as a person. His thoughts are always how he is either hurt or wants to kiss her. No real growth, just a lot of snapping at people.

Elisabeth is such a diminished version of herself that it is actually painful to read. She is a simpering Miss, not a confident woman. And there is NO reason why she would fall for Darcy. Also the triangle angle is bad. The neighbour Lord is much to similar to Darcy in some aspects and at the same time actually the better man.
Do not waste your time on this one (I actually skipped a few of the last 4 or 5 chapters because I couldn't stand the contrived "misunderstandings" any longer, after everything was actually already dissolved.)

J. Starnes is "hit or miss" me... sadly this was a "miss".

Good start... but downhill from there....
