Whoever loved voyager will love this audiobook. Kate Mulgrews voice lets you dwell in memories. Very entertaining and sentimental.

Eine schöne Idee, die Biographie von Kathrin Janeway aus Sicht der fiktiven Heldin zu schreiben.
Eine authentische Geschichte, mit allen Höhen und Tiefen. Stolz, aber auch nachdenklich und an richtiger Stelle selbstkritisch.

Ein toller Bonus, dass das Hörbuch von der Schauspielerin gelesen wird, die sie in der Serie schon so authentisch dargestellt hat.

Fictional character - nevertheless a strong role model
A nice idea to write the biography of Kathrin Janeway from the point of view of the fictional heroine.
An authentic story, with all its ups and downs. Proud, but also thoughtful and, in the right place, self-critical.

A great bonus that the audiobook is read by the actress who portrayed her so authentically in the series.

Wie schon erwähnt,sind einige Details nicht passend mit dem Canon aber das ist okay. Tolles Buch für jeden Trekkie :)

What an outstanding audiobook! The fact alone that it is narrated by Kate Mulgrew herself, would place that book at the top of the list. But to focus only on that alone, would do the book no justice. It is insightful, funny, deep and filled with details, references and is linking seamlessly the narrative of TNG, DS9 and VOY into a tapestry. VOY fans will love it for all the insights they get about their show. Star Trek enthusiasts will love it for making links and references and arcing a time from before TNG to after the series-finale of VOY. I am not so well versed in VOY as I am in DS9, so I found it especially refreshing to get bits and pointers to re-watch some VOY episodes I usually skipped. Until now I think I never fully grasped to whole crushing weight of isolation and loneliness Janeway must have felt. I have a whole new appreciation for her both as a captain and as a person who carried the weight of Voyager and the lives of everyone onboard on her shoulders. I consider this book required reading for every VOY fan, nay, for every true Star Trek fan.

It was great to hear Janeways voice again! I loved it! Very nice to get some more background information on my favourite Starfleet Captain about how she started out, and also I especially loved the closure about what happened with everyone after they made it back to the Alpha Quadrant - Home. I was not disappointed. Totally recommend this book to anyone who loves Voyager. LLAP

The first half of this books feels like gold-pressed latinum – elevated to an even higher dimension by Kate Mulgrew's performance. I cannot stress enough how much I enjoyed listening to her bringing young Katie to life. The second half, to me, felt more like an abridged re-narration of stories I'd already known from the TV series, with few bits of added value here and there. It's definitely the recounting of Janeway's early years that made listening to this ... more than worthwhile!

I loved this! I am a huge fan of voyager! Listening to this makes me want to rewatch (for the 10th time) the whole series.

Brought closure to the series. You always wanted to know what happened after they returned to earth. Now you know!
