From the first exuberant sentence, Walter Covell's performance of this Sherlock Holmes mystery is perfect. His jolly, cracking voice is laced with amusement; his English accent put to delightful use. "The Adventure of the Empty House" is an all-time favorite excerpted from the larger collection entitled The Return of Sherlock Holmes.
