The story is compelling from the beginning and very read. The characters are credible and the protagonists ever more likeable.

Riveting, well thought out and perfect in every way. No loose ends, no unanswered questions (making me anxious this might be the end).

But the speaker… Well, he does his very best and he does try to mimic different people but he makes them sound like drunkards with two brain cells instead. I do appreciate the effort, though.

Absolutely amazing book, great characters, great crime story, gripping, tense, emotional, touching… Exceeds any expectations I had before I read it. I already loved book 1 to 3, but this instalment tops everything. Michael Robotham touches a very hot iron in our days without polarising too much or imposing his opinion upon the reader. The story is gripping and sad at the same time, very dark underneath and then again heart-warming and touching. This book will stay in my mind for a while. It can be read without the first 3 books, but I would not recommend this, the 4 books round up the entire Evy story and one would deprive oneself from a great story if this part was singled out. An absolut masterpiece is also the presentation by Joe Jameson, he is Sirius, he is Evy and he is any other character in story in the most believable way. I highly recommend this book.
