Ideal sequel trilogy
Perfect story, perfect narrator, what more do you want?! If you like Star Wars this is a must. Seriously, stop reading and get it now!
Why are you still reading this? Thrawn is the perfect nemesis after Vader and Palpatine. Now go and buy this trilogy.

As if I didn’t already dislike the sequels
These books really make you dislike almost everything about episodes 7-9. Glad Timothy Zahn is part of Ahsoka.

Great Star Wars Classic, Even After all These years
After having read the trilogy long time ago, I was really excited to jump back into the story and the characters. Particularly the narrator makes the overall experience absolutely outstanding. Definitive recommendation !

Timothy Zahn und Mitth'raw'nuruodo
Wie jedes seiner Thrawn Bücher, ist auch der 2. Teil mit Dark Force Rising eine packende Geschichte mit spannenden Blickwinkeln und tollen Wendungen.
Mitth'raw'nuruodo, der geniale und einzigartige Admiral, ist definitiv einer der spannendsten Charakteren im Star Wars Universum und ich erwischte mich auch dieses mal wieder dabei, dass meine Sympathien klar auf seiner Seite standen.
Sehr zu empfehlen.

This should have been "Star Wars - Episode 8"!
Marc Thompson did his best. Again! This is clearly better than anything Disney ever did within the Star Wars universe. I highly recommend getting the whole Thrawn trilogy.

Once again a great performance by Marc Thompson. However the sound effects that are constantly repeated are annoying.

PEWPEW....
Prinzipiell gut...aber die sehr lauten, sehr monotonen Ambientegeräusche (Blaster, Urwaldvögel etc) im HIntergrund werden gerade in langen Szenen extrem nervig. Wenn da einer vorliest das geschoßen wird brauche ich nicht 15 Minuten lang PEWPEWCrashBOOMPEWPEW um das zu kapieren....sonst kann ich gleich nen Film gucken

Awesome !
Its a nice story and in my opinion way better than the new movie !
If the new movie was a disappointment for you, you should check out this trilogy (15h per book 45 total and after downloading you can listen to it without connection on a flight or something like that) but just the best thing about it are the voice acting and the sound effects (yup sound effects like blasterfire in an audiobook) , but I have to say its sad to know that disney made all that non canon (so it did not happen in Star Wars 7) .
All in all :
If you like the original Star Wars you should buy this !
