Am relevantesten

This was one of the best stories so far! It touched on horrible topics, but never got so deep into them as to spoil the beauty of the story while never skimming them disrespectfully. The love story was slow, and I loved it!

Mary Balogh can always be relied on to write a good story. Her characters have nuances and depth, and in this story they have some rather dreadful experiences to deal with. How they achieve peace and happiness is a believable and perhaps even an educational exploration of the capacity human beings have for coping with adversity. This can be enjoyed as a stand-alone book, but is even more enjoyable read in sequence. Five stars also for Roslyn Landor, whose narration is always a pleasure and an enhancement of the story.
