The book actually is two stories - one playing today, one 12 years ago. Each of the stories is highly fascinating, so no cordon at any point :-)

The story of sierra six had been told after book 9 - it’s a nice ad on but nothing new about the gray men. The author seems clueless how to end the legend of the epic figure or to keep it fighting
I did enjoy the book, bebaust the gray man is just something

The story moves back and forth 12 years. Now, everybody learns how things kind of began. A must read and by far the best of all the grey man books!!

finally the story from the past get explained. many unexpected turns with 2 different Storys in past and present. grey man develops to an absolute classic CIA story, very close to Clancy character and story but different told.
really like it. i believe you could start with this as book 1 as well, it does not tell any details from the books before.
