I live the way Daniel Philpott reads the characters. Accents, dialects and voices! The books are gripping an really good. All ten of them. Only slight downside after 8 books is the repetition of extended explanation of counter surveillance and thoughts of how to kill before the real action starts or at few times a seemingly never ending fight. Still Can’t wait for the next.

Great book and start into a great series

Die Stimme Daniel Philpotts und der Erzählstil von Tom Wood passen kongenial zusammen. Ich habe alle drei - bisher bei audible veröffentlichten - Bücher atemlos hintereinander gehört und manchmal auf dem Nachhauseweg einen Umweg eingeschlagen, um ein paar Minuten länger zuzuhören. Die Handlung an sich ist nicht unbedingt originell: Ein Auftragskiller, der quer durch Europa reist, um entweder zu töten oder zu flüchten. Alles schon einmal dagewesen. - Es sind der Erzählstil und die Stimme, die diesem Thriller den besonderen Kick verleihen.
Ich hoffe sehr, dass auch die weiteren Bücher bald bei audible erhältlich sind und wieder von Daniel Philpott gesprochen werden.

When Tom Wood does a great job of creating this exciting story, Daniel Philpott does an even better job in delivering it!

My clear recommendation: listen to the books in English! In German the spirit of victor is not fully developing its potential!

Thus, it is a shame the German audible store does not offer the 4th, 5th, and 6th book of this fascinating man!

Who is James Bond? Victor is the best in his profession by far 🙌🏻!

If you like a lot of action, prolonged gunfights and many deaths (bad and good guys likewise), this is your book. To my taste it is too much action, while the story is somewhat simple and predictable. I also don't like that a realistic plot is often sacrificed for tbe sake of dramatic effects. However, the book is without a doubt thrilling. The speaker is excellent, having a variety of different colors in his voice and he accentuates any situation rather good.

Too many murders in the first chapters, and subsequently quite a complicated story through the book. No desire to read/listen to any other books in this series.
