Würden Sie gern ein anderes Hörbuch von Jojo Moyes und/oder Judith Boyd ausprobieren?

I had heard "Me Before You" before this one and sadly have to account that "Sheltering Rain" is not nearwhere as gripping.

Wie haben Sie auf das Ende des Hörbuchs reagiert? (ohne dabei natürlich zu viel zu verraten!)

Somewhat expected.

Was hätten Sie anders gemacht, wenn Sie bei diesem Hörbuch Regie geführt hätten?

While Judith Boyd really tried to give each person a distinctive voice, I found her crying and wailing a little over the top.

Was wäre für andere Hörer sonst noch hilfreich zu wissen, um das Hörbuch richtig einschätzen zu können?

Half of the book is written from the perspective of 16 year old Sabine and while that might be amusing at times, I found it rather boring and irritating after a while.

Rather tedious

Besonders im Verlauf der Geschichte wird die Geschichte zwischen Sabine und Kate zunehmend nervig.
Beide Charaktere sind nicht ganz glaubwürdig und Tom insgesamt zu klischeehaft.

Epische Familiengeschichte, streckenweise etwas langatmig erzählt. Für mich brauchte es etwas, bis ich mich an die Sprecherin gewöhnt hatte. Insgesamt am Ende aber doch bewegend und einfühlsam gesprochen.

Wonderful! This was a perfectly balanced story of pasts unfolding, futures forming and life and family simply happening. I really enjoyed it.
