Heart filling, hope giving story. When one day closes there is another which opens. Thanks to a great performer this story by Joy Ellis is utterly beautiful. Thank you.

I had a nearly fatal accident in the past as well and I wish I had a gran or mum who would have lived so close and trained with me as much as Stella‘s dedicated grandma Beth did!
I could totally relate to this story and the people in it and how they had to decide how to continue with their lives!
I thoroughly enjoyed this stand alone novel which was read in a empathic and enjoyable way! As I have listened to a large number of Joy Ellis books I thought this one tied the characters nicely together and at the same time
It is a very different story of life choices and unexpected turns. It was a relief after some of her very brutal crime stories. Okay

As you probably can tell by the description - this book is not a thriller.

I really liked the characters, the plot and the narrator. However, I didn’t like the audio cut. Whoever cut the audio skipped over every single paragraph. Between every paragraph there is less pause than between sentences. It was sometimes exhausting listening to it. If they would have cut the audio better, it would have easily been a 5 star recommendation.

Narrator just keeps talking without distinguishing between chapters and it gets super confusing. Good idea of a story but falls flat and abrupt weird ending
