I listened to this book, as Francis Fukuyama had positive words for it in an interview discussing, what might be lacking in our time. The book far exceeded my expectations. Things fell into place to me - books, authors, ideas. Why didn’t I see? Anyone familiar with the postwar culture will find this book at one time illuminating, simple and brilliant. I’ve ordered a hard copy in order to reread it.
