Maureen O'Donnell is facing the darkest episode in her life. The author and the narrator are excellent. A lot of things are hard to stomach, and I am incredibly grateful not to live in the 80s anymore, regarding police practices, women's rights and health issues. The strong protagonist is one of my favourite female leads of all time. I love her.
