This book continues right after the first one. There is no real re-introduction to the characters or story, so you better read/listen to the first one beforehand (that's a plus for me).
And be very aware of what sort of book you're buying here. It's almost as much a story about a poly amorous relationship of some dude with... EVERY GIRL HE MEETS as it is a light cyberpunk novel. And this time, the author really goes at the description. You can look forward to detailed descriptions of wet holes.
If you either like the harem fantasy or can ignore it, it's a light near-future light cyberpunk story. Some gore, some adventure, some technology. It's a decent story, but feels too much like a teenage boy fantasy to me. Again - if you like that, absolutely go for this book, it's just not for me.
