Über diesen Titel
Shifter and vampire true mates story.
Alek's older brother, Justice - the Alpha Zenith - was the first shifter to mate with a vampire in many generations, and it was believed the rare, fated pairing would stop at him. But, it hadn't. Aleksei "Alek" Volkov was second beta, next in succession to the most powerful shifter in the world. He was proud of his title and he took his duties seriously. It was all he had. Until his true mate literally showed up on his doorstep.
Belleron "Bell" Liatos had come to the states for one reason - his best friend and vampire king, Chadwick Bentley. He certainly didn't come to be pounced on by a wolf that could act independently of its master. Not only was his destined cherished a complicated and confused man, but he was also unaware of the powerful presence that lurked in the shadows of his soul. Bell didn't know he'd be the key to unlocking an exceptional triad that would play a critical role in fulfilling the prophesy.
Contains mature themes.

I loved this book and will listen to the next one immediately.
The narrator is well suited to the story. No voice was annoying. :)
Beautiful, sometimes miserable and always so alive

This book at least had a BIT of story. But don't think the main story, the fight against the big antagonist, was worked on. No, no - it was just about the story of the two protas in this book, so they can relieve their horniness. (Which of course is not possible - how could it be, a dick has to be used in this "sexy life") Also these vampires and shifters apparently don't know any other pet names than "babe" and "baby" ...
I'm so sorry, but I just can't take this seriously anymore.
Despite my wonderful introduction, I liked this book better than book one - because of the little story there was.
Alek (protagonist) has problems with his other two "personalities" and has had them for many, many years. And when I say "problems", I think that's a bit of an understatement. It seems like the other two personalities are both dangerous in their own way and if Alek is not careful, he would quickly lose control of his body. Personality number three in particular seems quite feared.
All good, all exciting and could have been developed further - it just wasn't done.
This problem was also solved as quickly as it was built up. A little bit of rage and a conversation was enough for Alek to make up with his other personalities and suddenly they make a top team. *sigh*
After Alek and Bell finally found to each other and a small in-between antagonist was defeated, it also felt like it was all about them having to strengthen their bond again. Ergo: Sex non-stop. *sigh*
The second book ends like book one - only with different characters. (Again, there was a hard dick *sigh*)
Since the narrator changed, it was still a good exercise in listening comprehension.
Well ... no
