eigentlich von vornherein klar was passiert. nichts. Der Mord wird vorher quasi angekündigt, dann kommt noch ein Bär dazu. Die Hauptpersonen sitzen nur rum und diskutieren über ihre Romanze, wenige Rückblicke, die den Charakteren Tiefe geben sollen, aber irgendwie gelingt das nicht. Das Ende, der "Showdown", ist lächerlich. Und natürlich das völlig überzogene happy End, das selbst Romanzenliebhabern zu glatt ist. Alles in Allem enttäuschend. Mr. Perfekt und einige andere Romane von Howard sind wesentlich spannender, überraschender und wesentlich authentischer. Schade, dass dies nicht der erwartete Thriller war, sondern eine Romanze mit ner Leiche, die in zwei Sätzen abgearbeitet war.
