Wie viele Bücher über das Beten kreist auch dieses um die Frage, warum Betten nicht funktioniert ohne diese beantworten zu können. Trotzdem wird die Notwendigkeit des Betens immer wieder heraufbeschworen.

Ich persönlich suche eine moderne Interpretation des Betens als einen reinen innerlichen Prozess. Hier wurde ich damit nicht fündig.

Insgesamt fand ich das Buch daher etwas zu amerikanisch begeistert und zu wenig kritisch. Eine liberale, moderne Interpretation des Betens suche ich weiterhin vergeblich.
