Mitch

I'm an omega. I've always loved being an omega. I've always desired babies, as all good omegas do.

Working the late shift as a weatherman, I had just finished my night and was cautioned against walking home alone. Omegas were being taken right off the street at an alarming rate.

Throwing caution to the wind, as I didn't live far from the station, I set out and got myself captured.

In the van I was thrown into were other omegas like myself. But there was also a very handsome alpha and I could smell something very different about him.

Could he be?

Rick

I'm an alpha. My job is a detective with the police department. On an undercover assignment to infiltrate this gang, a very strange omega was placed by my side.

It was almost as if "fate" had thrown us together.

For one night, I let down my guard and had a passionate tryst with this new omega. No one had captured my heart. Not since.

Well, not since Jack.

But it's too painful. Even still.

I can't make the same mistake twice.

I can't lose Mitch, too.

This audiobook contains no cheating, no cliffhangers, and a juicy HEA that will warm your hearts!

This reads like somethings a particularly horny highschool girl wrote. The characters are flat and unrealistic (appaerently the omega has been doing his job as the weatherman at the newsstaion for a long time, but he's only eighteen. His only passion and "life's work" is reporting the weather and having babies, according to his own words). Emotions genrally "rip through his heart" or "flood his heart" or "claw along his spine". The alpha is an asshole with anger issues and also a pretty unprofessional cop (for some reason, he keeps referring to his colleagues as "brothers" throughout the whole story). The grammar is at times atrocious.

The story itself starts with the omega getting kidnapped, which nobody is very worried about, because he's too busy wanting to fuck the alpha in the van with him, who of course turns out to be his "fated mate" and an undercover cop. This is all revealed in the first five minutes. Then the alpha starts fighting the leader of the kidnapping ring, and instead of, I don't know, being worried for their lifes?, all the kidnapped omegas start giggling and commenting on the fight. The alpha loses and the ringleader gets away, then suddenly police is there (I have no idea how or when they got there, as that is not explained) and are filming the omegas account of the events without even asking his permission. They also give out medical information of the alpha to him without a second thought. Omega and alpha then fuck, but the alpha comtemplates his tragic past and leaves without a word. Here we get an entirely unnecessary sidestory about the alphas tragic past (appaerently his last omega and unborn child died due to being shot in a robbery while the alpha was busy negotiating in *another* robbery). The alpha does not seem to have any family or friends, but the omega has a mother, who, like everyone else, is entirely unconcerned with her son's recent kidnapping, but agrees with her son that getting fired due to being pregnant sucks. Luckily the alpha has in the meantime anonymously called the newsstation and demanded that the omega be given back his job, which the omega's boss promptly does. The omega decides that being called a slut is not so bad as long as he's able to continue his "life's work", reporting the weather, so he goes back to work. There the ringleader appears and kidnaps him once again from right out of the news studio, in front of the cameras. He demands the alpha meet him alone "at the warehouse" or the omega and the unborn child (which, for some reason, everyone seems to know is a boy) will be his. The alpha calls the station just to tell them he doesn't want reinforcement and goes to fight the ringleader. This time he's less stupid and wins. He handcuffs the ringleader, calls the station, frees the omega and asks for his forgiveness. The omega forgives him and they go to the cemetery to visit the alphas dead boyfriend (the unborn child does not seem to have a grave). Then they have their son, who is also an alpha, and are happy. The end.

The narrator seems to do her best with this trainwreck of a story, but unfortunately she wasn't able to keep the second hand embarrasment from happening and I had to cringe a few times. I'm glad this wasn't longer, because quite honestly, I would not have been able to endure more of it. I'm all for silly little mpreg stories, hence why I paid for this in the first place, but plaese at least manage the grammar and explain your world and characters at least a little. The amount of times I said "what" out loud while listening is ridiculous.

Tl;dr: Not worth the money demanded for it. You're better off looking for another mpreg story.

Boy, am I glad this isn't longer...
