Die Geschichte ist ganz anders, als man es von den Beschreibungen erwartet - aber hier hat sich Dillon ein ungewöhnliches Szenario ausgedacht! Zwar ist vieles vorhersehbar, deshalb ein Stern Abzug, aber dadurch auch eine Entspannende Lektüre für die Ohren - mit einer sehr angenehmen Stimme!

Nachdem ich andere Bücher der Autorin kenne, die zur netten Unterhaltungslektüre gehören, war ich von dieser Geschichte sehr enttäuscht. Dabei wären die Themen wie Balanceakt für die Partnerschaft durch Elternsein, falsche Erwartungen, Trauer etc sehr wohl geeignet, einen Spannungsbogen aufzubauen. Keine einzige Figur ist glaubwürdig, weder Erwachsene, Kinder noch Hunde. Jedes Klischee wird herangezogen und noch vor der Hälfte kann man sich den Rest ausmalen. Schade!
Der Sprecherin hört man gerne zu, doch manchmal klingt auch sie ob der Pseudodramatik gelangweilt.
