Who lives in the dark house at the top of Spider Mountain? The Hamilton Kids want to know. Jaime age 13, Sam 11, and Danny 9, live at the bottom of the huge hill they call Spider Mountain, which is inhabited by all kinds of small creatures, including trap-door spiders and an occasional tarantula that arrived on a banana boat from Central America. When they climb up their mountain, what they discover will change their lives forever.
The novel was written for middle-grade students, 9-12, and contains tips for kids on how to survive in the wilderness if they get separated from their parents.
