First of all, I kind of like high school dramas and forbidden love stories, and the other books by Corry are ok.
But this one simply blew my mind. Have you ever heard of SEX EDUCATION?! And how educating teenagers helps prevent unwanted pregnancies (as well as sexually transmitted disease)? This book recreates EVERY stereotype there is in this matter without critically discussing it.
No teenage girl should be encouraged to think sex is wrong or is only allowed after marriage. No teenage girl should be afraid of sex because she thinks sex equals pregnancy. No teenage girl should ever think she has to hide her pregnancy from the man/boy who is responsible for this pregnancy. And absolutely no teenage girl should get the idea that keeping a baby from a boy she has not even properly dated yet is the romantic thing to do. It is not.
