so gut geschrieben dass man sich selbst mittendrin befindet, zornig, traurig, mitfühlend und mitleidend. Leider zu oft Realität die nicht immer gut endet. Spannend bis zum Ende nahezu mit nur kurzen Pausen gehört. Die Sprecherin, Olivia Song trägt durch unaufdringliche und gut verständliche englische Aussprache zur Spannung bei. Absolute Hör- und Leseempfehlung. Freue mich auf den nächsten Audible Roman. Denke erstmal wird es wieder Collen Hoover.

Amazing story and it would be a lie to tell this is a typical romantic lovestory! While reading, you will realize how complex such situation could be and how important and personal the story is to the autor. The characters are so diverse and authentic! YOU need to listen to this story ! I must admit that it has changed a bit my opionons on abused women !

First I thought: "oh well another lovestory that ends just like all the others" but I was wrong. At the end I couldn't stop listening and finished the book within a few days. Recommend!
The only thing bothering me a little bit was the reader. Although she did a good job with the female part, it was hard to listen, when she spoke the male ones.

I was hooked from the start, well written and narrated as well. I read thos before it became a film and was tarnished by all of the actor drama.

In the beginning I was just furious the entire time - I was angry with Lilly for not acting the way I wanted her to act. The first time we’re introduced to Ryle, he’s already such a huge walking red flag to me that I couldn’t understand how the story even evolved from there on. And I expected this to be a story romanticising toxic relationships which I had to literally roll my eyes at every five minutes in the beginning. But I kept on listening. And when I finally got to the point where it became obvious that this is a book bringing awareness to domestic abuse, it clicked. I really liked the story. The complexity of toxic relationships, the divide between hating and loving the person - it all came to life in this book. What happens story-wise isn’t all that exciting to me personally. It’s really about the relationships and and the rich inner world of a main character with a complicated history. That’s why I want to say that the story is kind of boring, but also not at all.
