Dieser Sprecherin konnte ich nicht lange folgen. Langsam und eher unprofessional gelesen. Da habe ich sehr früh aufgegeben und kann zu der Geschichte nicht viel sagen.

A nice, cosy mystery. Well told, well conceived and with a rather surprising turn in the end. I was left satisfied enough in the end, to want to listen to the next of the series, even though I found the performer a bit detached and stiff. But then again, this contributes to the Britishness of the book and that's all right.

A weak plot and very poorly read. The voice of the reader is uninspired and her intonation is really bad.

The plot doesn‘t offer any unexpected turns, and the characters are unconvincing from start to finish (Libby especially) and extremely dumb (the killer‘s motive?!). This is made worse by the narrative performance - I thought other reviews were a bit harsh, but the narrator obviously had a severe cold and manages to make everyone sound even more slow-witted and frumpy-middle-aged than they are probably meant to be. The more I think about it, the more annoying I find the protagonist and the more infuriated I am, so no, I don‘t think I‘ll listen to the next part of the series.
