Perfect introduction to Terry Pratchett

"Mort" hat bis heute nichts von seiner Faszination verloren. Terry Pratchett beherrscht es meisterhaft, Figuren, die eigentlich Klischees sind, aus ihrer gewohnten Rolle ausbrechen zu lassen und ihnen Leben einzuhauchen. Besonders im Fall der Figur des Todes ist dies ironisch und beeindruckend zugleich.
Pratchetts feiner Humor und sein Talent fürs Geschichtenerzählen waren einzigartig, und "Mort" ist ein frühes Beispiel dafür. Vielleicht spricht hier die Nostalgie aus mir, aber ich kann keinen einzigen Kritikpunkt finden, den ich anbringen könnte.
Insgesamt ist "Mort" ein Buch, das sowohl für Pratchett-Fans als auch für Neueinsteiger in sein Werk empfehlenswert ist. Es ist unterhaltsam, clever und zeigt Pratchetts einzigartigen Schreibstil. Leser werden in eine faszinierende Welt voller skurriler Charaktere und witziger Situationen entführt. Ich kann "Mort" nur wärmstens empfehlen und bin sicher, dass es noch vielen Menschen viel Freude bereiten wird.
Ein Wort noch zu den negativen Kommentaren zur Sprecherin: Ich kann die Kritik an ihr nicht 100%ig nachvollziehen. Ja, zum Teil klingen ein paar Nebenfiguren etwas zu schrill, aber der Großteil der Charaktere sind hervorragend von ihr umgesetzt. Mir hat es jedenfalls Spaß gemacht ihr zuzuhören.
