Mrs Ambrosini surely meant well when she started caring for her health and her body and - please don’t get me wrong- I love some good self care (whatever that means to you). It’s just that she seems to have written the most cliche book about self care EVER. It’s the classics:
-Gluten is bad
-Only organic foods should be eaten because the rest is filled with pesticides and antibiotics
Ambrosia also only buys from farmers who don’t have profit in mind. As a business women she should know, that profit= revenue-cost, and that therefore working without profit means working for free. Organic food is unsustainable and we couldn’t feed the world with it. It’s also sometimes unethical as animals can’t be given antibiotics, even if they really need them, but oh I forgot:
- you shouldn’t take medication
-When you’re stressed, just get childcare - because that’s not expensive?!
It’s really sad to see another elitist self care book, there are really enough of those.
Loving regards
A reader

Wildly fabricated, fabulously out of touch and bursting with privilege
