Leider muss sich Last Letter from your Lover ja mit Before you von Jojo Moyes messen. Und da kommt der Roman einfach nicht ran. Besonders im ersten Drittel hat er solche Längen, dass ich fast aufgehört hätte, das Ganze zu hören. Das kann aber auch an der Sprecherin liegen, die nur eine Art von Frauenstimme und eine Art von Männerstimme drauf hat und die ganze Geschichte im gleichen, pathetischen Tonfall vorträgt. Würde zum Selbstlesen raten.

I loved all three parts of the 'me before you' series and I also enjoyed 'the one plus one'.
The last letter from your lover however is quite different. I find the behaviour of the main characters in this story so distasteful that I simply can't finish it. Infidelity, humiliation,... I really didn't enjoy it and am struggling to find the story interesting.

It might get better later on but I didn't feel like I wanted to continue.
