The book starts with an absurd amount of exposition that feels like you need an spreadsheet to comprehend. This information is useful to understand the main character... and the nature of the crossover between D&D settings... but such a dump of exposition surely will lose the ready 9 times out of 10. The shining light of this story, in my opinion, was a story within a story, of Kulchek the Wanderer.
