Slow-paced plot, secrets, lies, and no erotic elements until just before the end. Very young male and female protagonists. Ends with a cliffhanger. Because of the mystery aspect, I might buy the second volume. I’m curious to see how the story and the case unfold. So far, the book doesn’t have much of a “dark romance” feel to it; it’s more of a thriller. It’s a long book with a plot that unfolds slowly.
