a bit unbalanced
The text is a somewhat odd mix of compelling accounts from the lives of these highly influential characters and boring passages that might have been okay in a book way back in the past. Narrating all these tidddy-biddy details about what the crew of the Golden Hind found on the small islands was tedious to listen to.
What didn't help was the narrator. He sounded like a ghost from the past. However, I tend to think that even if you are telling about the past you should enunciate like a modern speaker
