This Book is too Short, but it is a Great, very enjoyable Book! I loved the insight into this charackter, her examinations of Race and gender and privilidge!
The writing Style was also so moving and interesting, I was hooked from the First sentence!

some parts of this were more stressful than horror stories I've read. if you want to dive into obsession, social media commentary, self worth, critic's of the the patriarchy then this is it - all big topics covered in an easily digestible read. I have mixed feelings about the FMC I understand her and can't stand her at the same time. what does this say about me?

I hated it, I loved it

Some chapters read almost as a poem, others follow our main character in an unrequited relationship with a man and a woman she becomes increasingly obsessed with. The author makes observations that anyone on the internet will resonate with and maybe feel a bit called out themselves (rightly so). I wish the book overall would have been longer, the story of the unravelling life of the main character was very compelling to witness.

What an interesting read

This was difficult to listen to. The insightful commentary on racism, gender and power dynamics was overshadowed by the protagonist's constant externalising to a clinical level. I have found myself analysing her as if she were a mh patient, empathy for her lack of true insight into herself taking turns with anger at her abusive behaviour. Listening to this felt like work rather than enjoyment.
