The Heroine ist stupid, insulting, rash, goodhearted, impulsive, very communicative and has a temper. A very very bad combination!
The Hero will have his Hands full.
The fear of the constrictive conditions marriage offered women at that time is very understandable and maybe is her behaviour a sort of self- protection on her part. In this case I can forgive a part of it. But her rashness shows a absolute loss of her sense of self preservation. It is a possibly short life she will live. And possible death in childbirth is not included in this estimation.
If you like story’s that must be seen like a parody to enjoy them, you will love this one.
It was a short story and maybe because of that very superficial.
I for my part am happy for it.
