Über diesen Titel

So I might be pretty good at this hero business after all.

My name is Mal. Growing up in The City, I had been taught that a benevolent goddess protected us from the Demon Lord and his legion of horrors. But upon my exile, I learned the world was far larger and more wonderful than I could have ever imagined.

Now I’m a squire to Annowan, demon knight and heir to the Throne. I’m also married to an elf, and I have three more weddings waiting for me when I return to Babylon; Gilly the dragonkin, Thalie the orc, and Krencha the goblin are all eager to join my family and announce our intentions to topple The City to the entire empire.

But a new mission sends us to Dragon Port, Gilly’s hometown, a city ruled by greed and cutthroat politics. We need to access Velka’s Library, which belonged to Annowan’s long-lost mother and find clues on the Bitch Goddess’s remaining two generals and the dwarven king Reverkar.

I’ll need all my wits and skills to survive the library’s cursed and twisting corridors. But with my wonderful wives by my side, I’m sure we’ll succeed.

This book is intended for mature listeners due to descriptions of violence and unconventional relationships.

It was already hard in the last book but now my suspension of disbelieve is gone.

The "Goddess" has done quite a few things she shouldn't be able to do if we go according to what the story tells us, she seemingly has endless troops even though her population should be miniscule compared to the demons, she can throw her angel constructs around as if she has endless supply even though according to the story she lost the war and there exist no dwarfs to build more of them and in all fights against her the protagonists group has nearly no help. She has seemingly endless power reserves while everybody else doesn't.
Now she attacks in enemy territory instead of a far off location as if she could've done that at any time, but still there is no help from the ppl who should be the "Goddesses" equal or even stronger, especially in their own territory. She also knows more about the mystical library than the owner of said library and all the chaos the library is in is only an obstacle to the owner while the "Goddess" seemingly has no problem navigating through the library.

At this point I don't understand why the "Goddess" didn't win the war, she seems to be able to win every fight against the demons even without her generals.

I can't anymore
