Inhaltsangabe

I felt all wrong until I met you.

Jesse Stone is rebuilding his life. He’s ditched his no-good ex, sworn off men, moved to a new town with his four best friends, and started the pottery business of his dreams. And then he slept with his hunky new neighbor. Oops. Jesse needs to focus on work, but all he can think about is getting Finn between his hands like a perfectly-shaped work of clay.

Trouble just blew into town, and his name is Jesse. Finn Hart knows that pursuing Jesse will ignite old family tensions, but he can’t stay away. The construction foreman has never built a lasting relationship. He’s too busy keeping the peace in a town that was founded by one Hart, but is slowly being strangled by another - Finn’s grandfather.

Finn and Jesse are on the same page: they want to save Hart’s Bay, and it starts by bringing tourists in with Jesse’s new art gallery. But their hearts are bruised, and taking a chance comes with a price. Not everyone in Hart’s Bay wants change. For a few narrow minds, nothing good should come to Finn’s branch of the Harts, and that includes love.

Can love wash away 20 years of bad blood and bring a new dawn for Jesse, Finn, and all of Hart's Bay?

Hard Hart is the first book in the new Hart’s Bay series about a small town full of nosy but well-meaning neighbors and brotherly banter. It’s a stand-alone novel with a happily-ever-after ending, and plenty of smiles and steam along the way. If that cove could talk…oh boy, has it ever seen things.

Any chance I can move to Hart`s Bay, too?

After disappointments Jesse and his four best friends decide to leave the big city behind and venture a fresh start in a little town along the pacific coastline. The five dream of displaying and selling their art and have sworn off difficult new relationships. But potter Jesse is the first to break that rule right after their arrival at Hart's Bay. Finn is thrown out of his secret comfort zone when he finds out that his cute one-night-stand turns out to be his new neighbor and latest town resident. Still the connection between him and Jesse is stronger than the old Hart family feud that hoovers over Hart's Bay like a dark cloud orchestrated by Finn's Grandfather. So glad I, the serial-junky, discovered E.Davies and her „Hart's Bay“ series. The autor created such a vivid small town, one can almost smell the sea and hear the waves smashing agains the rocky cliffs. With five new guys moving to this somewhat overlooked place, there are plenty of pairing possiblilties and romance chances ahead. I like that E. Davies has the backstory of the once mighty Hart family well planned through, although at first all their family member names were a bit confusing to me. The suspense story is no big surprise, but the hottest BBQ neighbor invitation ever and those little things like the sea glass stones, totally charmed me. Gosh, I love listening to Greg Boudreaux's voice! He is perfect for Hart's Bay! He gave artist Jesse a young excited and still underlining vulnerable voice while hunky construction foreman Finn comes across as gentle and caring. The conversations between them and fumbeling towards a serious relationship feels so „alive“ and genuine. All the side characters get their distinctive voice variations and are easy to tell apart! Can't wait to listen to Finn's cousin Rainier's story next!
