I'm not the best at picking men. I always seem to end up with jerks. Controlling jerks, abusive jerks, jerks that only want one thing. You name the jerk flavor and I've probably tas... okay, that wasn't where I was planning on going with that.

When an obsessive ex won't leave me alone, I enlist my super-hot, super-interesting neighbor to protect me and end up going on a road trip I would have never expected in a million years. I've wanted Fisher practically since I met him, but with all his tattoos, piercings, and confidence, he's like a walking billboard for cool and edgy, while I'm... well, boring is probably the word used most often to describe me. I just don't see someone like him being interested in someone like me, no matter how cozy we have to get in the sleeper of his truck.

A man like him needs permanency and security, and I'm a truck driver who spends more time on the road than I do at home. I have no business wanting him the way I do, but I do. I definitely do.
