Ich hatte die Bücher 📚 bereits gelesen 👀 und höre 👂 mir jetzt die Hörbücher an. 😏 Ich habe es bis jetzt nicht bereut die Geschichte 📚 noch einmal zu hören👂, statt eine neue Serie zu hören/lesen 🤓 und hoffe, dass bald auch weitere Hörbücher 🎧 bei Audible 🔊 inkludiert sind, die aktuell noch Guthaben/Geld 💰kosten. 🙏

A really good story. A Maincharakter with No witch power still making her way in a world of Magic. I Loved the Moment of the contract and I am looking forward to the next book.

I absolutely love the characters in this book and I enjoyed the story so far. This is way better than I expected, as well as funny and entertaining to boot. I can’t wait to get my hands on the next one.

I really wanted to like this book. Unfortunately, the main character - Kenzie - was just so unbelievable of a character. It feels like someone made a character sheet of their ideal partner and just decided to make her: computer genius who is highly sought after in silicon valley (but apparently chooses to work in social media???), olympic-good gymnast, archery expert, martial arts master, and don't forget her obsession with comics and Deadpool. Because she has time for all that on top of inventing top magic gear. But woe is her because she is an outcast in her family and everyone but her sister and maybe her grandma hates her and ugh, life is so horrible.

The writing itself was also in need of some editing. Topics were repeated multiple times, as if the author had forgotten that they had already explained it earlier, for multiple different points. The male fox character ahienstly felt so bland and one faced. Hunter is silent and doesn't reveal much but is the most deadly but oh no wait Ash is the most silent and Finick is the jester who hides his pain. And oh suddenly he has a tragic back story with kids in the cancer ward. It was all sorta bleh. I didn't care about their relationship growing (but don't worry. we were told multiple times from multiple perspectives about how they totally weren't jealous of each other. Wouldn't they know this if it is common for foxes to alter in triads?) which is sorta what ended up killing my interest in the story.

It wasn't the worst but I won't be continuing the story, which means it definitely falls under three stars in my book.

I think the voice actress did her best but also...does anyone else think Ash started to sound like Ash Ketchum from Pokemon? They have a similar vocal fry and once I thought of that I couldn't stop picturing it....
