Das Genre Liebesroman mit kleinem Thrill wird hier zwar nicht neu erfunden, aber das braucht es auch gar nicht. Ich habe vor etlichen Jahren schon das Buch gelesen und es hat mir gut gefallen. Jetzt wollte ich die Story nochmals als Hörbuch hören und es hat sich gelohnt. Zum einen eine tolle Sprecherin und um anderen hat die Liebesgeschichte ihren Zauber für mich immer noch nicht verloren. Die Spannung zwischen den Protagonisten ist einfach toll beschrieben. Und natürlich muss die Liebe einige Hindernisse meistern bis zum Happy End, aber es nicht übertrieben oder nervig dramatisch. Hier passt einfach alles. Judith McNaught hat noch weitere tolle Romane in dieser Stilrichtung geschrieben. Schaden, dass diese nicht als Hörbuch erhältlich sind. Ich würde diese sofort kaufen, wenn Susan Denaker oder eine andere tolle Sprecherin oder ein anderer toller Sprecher diese liest. Für mich sticht dieses Buch positiv sonnenklar heraus - daher volle Punktzahl!
