Das war das erste Buch von McFarlane, das ich gehört habe. Ich fand es klasse! Nachdem mich die neueren Romane von Susan Elizabeth Phillips mehr als nur enttäuscht haben, habe ich nun wieder eine Autorin gefunden, die leichten Sommerspaß verspricht.

Loved the voice of Madeline and how she read it. I liked the story very much ("titts, titts, yellow" got me loughing for 5 minutes straight!!), but I would have wanted a little more "Lucas and Gina"-Time at the end (Maybe an Epilogue or something). The end was a little too cut off and I was a tad bit disapointed about that. That's why I can only give 4 stars...But hey: Complaining, that it was too short at the end is really a compliment :D Thanks for this sweet piece of literature!

Just love this one. Took ages to get to the Lovestory but was still hooked to all the other strings. There was so much going on in her life l, I guess relationships, death, family and love, or the lack thereof was the build-up for meeting the guy. But the twist in the end! Never saw it coming.

I enjoy Mhairi McFarlane‘s books and this one is beautifully narrated into the bargain. It’s a romance, of course, with humour and a strong emphasis on consent and respectful relationships.

Ich kann euch das Buch nur empfehlen.
Ja die Sprecherin ist am Anfang nicht ganz überzeugend aber das Buch steht für sich selbst. Es hat Tiefsinn, Ironie und einige Lacher zu bieten.
Es behandelt Themen die euch überraschen werden. Und sicherlich nachdenklich stimmen.

Hat sehr witzige Stellen, aber leider keinen wirklichen Spannungsbogen. Ich habe die ganze Zeit gewartet, dass die Geschichte Fahrt aufnimmt... Vergebens.
