Then his continued belittling her and metaphorically patting her on the head when she justifiably gets angry made me cringe so so hard. I finally decided to DNF in chapter 10 when Maximo essentially gets ready to... call it whatever you like - force her to have intercourse under duress/blackmail, gR8pe her, none of it sounds good! I was so vicerally grossed out by the whole description that I had to stop.
