Randi might not be a qualified therapist, but she knows all about NPD and is way more knowledgeable than highly paid (waste of money) therapists. Growing up I thought noone could understand what I was going through, and I was misdiagnosed and given totally unhelpful and further damaging pharmaceuticals. This book is absolutely spot on. It also gives practical advice on how to deal with narcissists. Thankfully I cut my mother off just after leaving home, but I wasted 2 decades trying with the other parent. Their unforgivable treatment set me up for a lifetime of bullying and failures in every kind of relationship. If I'd had this book as a child life would have been completely different.
