Was hat Ihnen das Hörerlebnis von Captured by a Laird besonders unterhaltsam gemacht?

In dem Buch wird nicht nur die Liebesgeschichte zweier Personen in den Vordergrund geschoben. Ich habe mitgefühlt, als die Burg angegriffen wurde und Lady Alison Angst um ihr Leben und das Leben ihrer zwei Töchter hatte. Sehr schön geschrieben. Den Sprecher fand ich dabei auch sehr angenehm. Er hat jedem Charakter eine andere Stimme verliehen.

Gab es im Hörbuch einen Moment, der Sie ganz besonders berührt hat?

Besonders berührt hat mich, als sie ihm ihre Liebe gestanden hat. Sehr mutig. In vielen anderen Liebesromanen ist das ja immer ein "Gezedere" weil es keiner wirklich zugeben möchte.

I had to stop after the first sex scene. Whoever decided that this voice actor was the right one for this story was gravely mistaken. He has a beatiful voice, perfect for Charles Dickens or fairytales, but I felt like I was listening to my kind, old grandpa reading passionate lovemaking to me, which felt wrong on SO many levels.
Also, the story is boring, the characters are naive and insecure beyond belief, which only gets infuriating after a while. Bad book. Bad audiobook. Not worth the money, unfortunately.
