Following the discovery of her relationship with the infamous Sea Shadow Drew Knight, Sea Slayer Kelia Starling is condemned to a life of servitude, washing dishes and delivering water room to room. Unbeknownst to them, however, Kelia is still investigating why the Society murdered her father, while Drew Knight has secretly visited her to call on the favor Kelia owes him as well. I find that the story of Book 1 was more gripping, although there were some revelations which tied a few loose ends and that's good. The ending anyway pushed me to look for the following e-books because I needed to know what happened next. Good job by the narrator again, giving voice to every character with different nuances. I wish I could listen to Book 3 and 4 as well, even though I have already read them. I wonder if they will ever become available.
