I have listened now to the complete Honerverse and have to say that this is the first book I am disappointed about. The first two stories are timetabled in an very early time of the expansion of the solar system but I had to guess about the time frame until almost the end of the stories. specially the first story has an ending that would have better fit in one of the nice "history told" type of stories instead of trying to invent a story around what was to be explained. but mainly I was missing a better setup in the beginning to get into the time frame.
The third story about how Honors mother and father met is entertaining even though there are annoying bits and pieces.
The fourth about Honor getting adopted is short and to the point. It could have fit in one other the main story lines as a flashback or something, but I guess it was edited out due to the already extensive size of the books.
The last story,again, is not formally introduce of when it happened, and so much of the otherwise possible getting into the feeling of the universe is lost. it is told from the perspective of a Grayson mitshipmen woman. This is confusing in the beginning turns into annoying until halfway through it gets neutral.

In total I would suggest to skip this book until you have nothing else to listen to in this universe and still can not stop. It definitely not worth much.
Interestingly, I didn't find his book in the bibliography on Weber's homepage - I wonder why.
