it's really fun and the readers voice has quickly taken over the spot in my head that was formerly reserved for Christian Bale when I thought about Patrick Bateman.

Great Audiobook

An outstanding work that vividly illustrates the extravagance and self-indulgence that dominated Wall Street in the 1980s. However, if you're sensitive to themes of violence or racism, this book may not be suitable for you. It is rich with metaphor and abstraction, portraying a world of superficial, interchangeable elitists devoid of empathy, immersed in misogynistic attitudes and trivialities. You must watch the movie as well.

Still a very funny book

This book has been recommended to me for a while and I am glad that I read it. I enjoy Easton-Ellis writing style and how even though you should not really empathize with the character of Patrick Bateman, he still manages to make parts of his life sound enviable.
This is further helped by the performance who I will from now on remember as his voice instead of Christian Bale (even though I also love Bale‘s performance in the movie)

To me at least, this is a boring, disgusting, revolting assortment of banalities, superficiality (which it never transgresses) and vulgarity. Period.
