Alleged super professionals from various intelligence agencies screw up more or less every mission. Even as the bad guys are hunted down they have actually won the game. Additionally, the authors show off again and again with real or maybe just pretended, but in any case boring knowledge of weapons technology and intelligence organizations. This was certainly my first and my last book from Tom Clancy. One good thing: Steven Weber is an ingenious reader, the best I have ever listened to. However, his talent is wasted on this crap.

Was genau hätte man an Against All Enemies noch verbessern können?

Unfortunately, this is not a typical Tom Clancy novel - it is certainly lacking research, realism, and authenticity. Instead it is a very monotonous book; many things in this book make no logical sense. One star is the maximum possible rating.

Too much needless details for example reading out complete list of phone numbers digit by digit inatead of saying 'text messages received from all terro cells'. Periodic 'God Bless America' chest thumping, all in all a let down also has serious technical errors which takeover your thoughts when you realise they are there. He should have stopped after Red October.
