Am relevantesten  
Starts great with some parts being excellent and some seriously lacking. WWII and the a-bomb question were mainstream and lazily researched. If you read German, I suggest "Nagasaki: The Myth of the decisive bomb" by Klaus Scherer as complimentary literature.

I would have liked to have heard more about the Old West and American interventions in Latin America or overseas... Commodore Perry or the War on drugs weren't even mentioned at all. Also there is so much more to be said about Hillary Clinton... Was George W. Bush really a Christian? And can a real patriot truly forget to mention the USS L*berty and WTC6?

But it is still a good book and recommended read.
