Most of us want to be able to help our spouse, our family, or our close friends in any way that we can, but sometimes, we just don’t know how. Not knowing what to do can be frustrating, at least, that’s the way it’s been for me. That is, until a friend of mine shared with me that during his study time every morning he prays seven words over each of his family members, and others, asking God to bless them in those areas.
So, I tried it and added two more words to the list. It’s been a game changer, or I should say, a life changer. God has blessed me with such joy and peace, and he has relieved me of the frustration of feeling helpless when I haven’t known how to help a loved one because, now, I know that I am lifting them up to our Almighty God who does know how to help them.
He also revealed to me that by practicing this prayer technique for others, I am serving them in a way that contributes the best help I could ever offer anyone. I hope this book will encourage you to serve those around you by praying for them, whether it’s one of these words or all nine of them.
