Teilweise überzeichnet aber dadurch auch sehr unterhaltsam. Ausgezeichneter Sprecher. Man fühlt sich nach wenigen Minuten mitten in Indien.

The reader has done an excellent job, perfect reading, perfect intonation, lively.
I had initially bought the paperback and didn’t really progress with it. Once I started to listen to the audio book my pace completely changed. I got really hooked on the story.
The writing style is equally good and the story itself is good too and I didn‘t mind its lengthiness - that is until about the last third of the book. From then on extremely negative happenings intensify and do come too thick and fast. The characters that had once been very sensitively and carefully portrayed all of a sudden face very heavy blows of fate in too short intervals. The first and second part of the book don’t blend well in narrative and style. I asked myself how so many mishaps could happen to the same people.

A good read overall but storyline misses credibility
