Über diesen Titel

The world has ended. At least we still have dogs.

My name's Griz.

I've never been to school, I've never had friends, in my whole life I've not met enough people to play a game of football. My parents told me how crowded the world used to be, before all the people went away, but we were never lonely on our remote island. We had each other, and our dogs.

Then the thief came.

He told stories of the deserted towns and cities beyond our horizons. I liked him - until I woke to find he had stolen my dog. So I chased him out into the ruins of the world.

I just want to get my dog back, but I found more than I ever imagined was possible. More about how the world ended. More about what my family's real story is. More about what really matters.

A Boy and his Dog at the End of the World is an extremely moving story. Perfect for fans of Life of Pi, The Girl with All the Gifts or Station Eleven - Griz's dystopian tale mixes sadness and hope in one unforgettable character's quest after the apocalypse.

I am totally delighted about how the author created such a positive atmosphere throughout a story about a lonely post-apocalyptic world in a highly heartwarming and creative way. Even in the hardest situations this boy never gave up hope. I loved the peaceful but at the same time exciting storyline with totally unexpected twists and turns. This story was just amazing. I absolutely recommend it!

it's a good story, good plot, with a cool twist (not very elaborated but a twist), and it is very easy going.
I liked it, the whole atmosphere, the post apocalyptic world, it's quite good, it's not the stand, or the road, but it does the job and it leaves no bad taste in your mouth.
recommended, if you like soft stuff.

appealing and "nice"

A story with many a twist. It was beautifully read and such a joy to listen to. Am sad that it is over.

Die Geschichte klang interessant, dazu kommen die unerwarteten Wendungen und menschlichen Figuren. Als persönlicher Pluspunkt sehe ich den Autor, der das Buch selbst spricht und angenehm rüberbringt

Unerwartet kurzweilig
