Welcome to Tas Noir...
The aim of the Detective Inspector Mahoney series is to explore the dark underbelly of my home state of Tasmania. It is a wonderful place to live but, as with many settings, there are always threats to a well-ordered community. The perpetrators of crime in my police procedurals are gaming the system and attempting to re-jig the rules to match their corrupted version of what society should be. John Mahoney, with his investigative team, stands resolutely between them and their macabre vision.
Crime fiction has been my favourite genre to read for a very long time. Favourites include Ian Rankin, Michael Connelly and Peter Temple(RIP). The transition from follower to author has been a demanding yet very satisfying experience. As the popularity of the novels grows I am particularly enjoying the great feedback provided by readers. It drives me forward as I promote the fourth instalment in the series: The Square Up which has just been released. Please delve into the series and remember that reviews are always welcome.
